| I sort of let this die like everything else. Whoopsy daisy.
Being an artist is so frustrating sometimes. My class needs to do a physics mural which is worth 8% of our grade, so it HAS to be good, and the teacher won't give a nice grade to something cheap. So, Kuro and I, being the artists of the class (more like she is), said we'd design and do the drawings for it. But it's just...people expect things to be done in a second or something. They're always bombarding with questions like "So, how are we doing this?" , "I don't think such and such will look good", "I don't think it'll be a good idea", "have you guys done anything?", "we were expecting you guys to have something done for today!". No. No. NO. It's NOT easy. And in the end, try to mend it up by saying "Ok, just do anything you want, but make it look good"....and then totally contradict yourself by saying "Just do whatever". Auuuughhhh it's frustrating, people do NOT understand how much time drawing takes, the dedication it takes to make it look actually good, how much time it consumes, and that it can't be done in minutes. Have you guys ever felt like this before?
Well, asides from that! Happy Thanksgiving day, everyone! (I should've said this from a start OOPS). This year was awkward, instead of ordering a normal thanksgiving meal (turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, bread, etc), we ordered KFC. Yeah.... Kentucky Fried Chicken...for Thanksgiving... ok. It was touching when we had to pray though. This is our last year celebrating thanksgiving together at school, and when we all had to say everything, it was really nice and cute and... man, in less than six months I'll be a graduate, woah. The little party (if you can call it that!), was fun. We all spoke and took photos and laughed together... really nice. Since Kuro and I had to ask something to the physics prof (regarding that bulletin board/mural again), we went around and found the math teacher, and just asked him instead (he's also a physics professor). He really liked our idea and then we joked with some other friends and then had a group hug. This last year would be really nice if only our school admins wouldn't be complete idiots and if the biology teacher wouldn't be as annoying. And she's my counselor. Marvelous!
About biology...tommorrow we're going to see a partial human disection. An autopsy. As in, opening a dead person. I'm not disgusted or scared about it, in fact, I'm sort of excited. The only thing I really hope is that that person died naturally and not in some sort of accident or gruesome manner. I hope everything goes smoothly, too. After that, we'll return to school to take a little break and we'll go to a spiritual retreat elsewhere in the country. I'm really excited about it! It's going to start tommorrow and end on Sunday morning, so it will be like a gigant Sleepover! And we can make a campfire and sing, tell stories, play, you name it! It sound really fun, and I'm really looking forward to it! I'll take my mom's camera and take some pictures, I'll upload some when I come back! ' v ' Boy oh boy, so fun. I'm going to miss my mom and grandma though.
Uuuuuniversity applicatioooons, working on them! I'm only missing to get the recomendation letters from my professors and get the school credits. I'm still not totally sure, but I'll go for International Business. I originally wanted to go with something like commercial animation...I still like the idea, but I need a career that will give me a job anywhere...bleh. But I like business, so it's okay! The possibilites that have arisen are studying overseas, either at USA or France. France sounds really really appealing, it'd be great! I'd learn a new language and see a new continent, eeeeee.
On another note, I feel I've been drifting appart from some friends...it feels sort of distant now. I'll try mending things up, somehooow. Hope I can, I don't like drifting appart from people. I usually don't notice until it's uhm...pretty obvious...OTL
Woah, long journal. Congratulations to those who have read this far! I'm sorry I don't have any doodles to show, I don't really doodle much at class anymore. Hope you're all doing great!

| Our local animecon! I'm very tired right now, but it was completely worth it.
The day was fine until I had to pick up the pins I had done before going to the convention, and when I did, they weren't how I pictured them at all. The picture was stretched, and imo it looked really bad; I got to sell out all the 8 InuYasha ones, thought! The table I shared with Kura and my other two friends ended up getting really full of our stuff, and it looked very nice. I made stickers, pins, keychains, and sold some of last year's bookmarks. I sold a little more than the half of the keychains I had, sold like twenty-something pins, and to my full surprise, only like two or three stickers. It's very funny because I thought they were going to sell out real quick, since they were the cheapest and had a good size.
Around the vacations, I won the contest for the official mascot of the con, as some of you may know. When I saw that big banner hanging right above the theather, I felt so proud and good. I stared at it for like 10 minutes, you guys have no idea how good it feels, seriously! Like if you accomplished something really big? Yeah, something just like that. And the prize was very good, too! $100 bucks as my first, official drawing used for an event? AWESOME.
About buying stuuuffff....there was Kingdom Hearts manga, but it was so expensive! It cost $17, when it used to cost MAX $12 last year! The only thing I bought were pokemon straps from a vending machine, but I didn't get who I wanted, Pikachu [You didn't know what you would get until the ball came out, it was random]. I got a Chatot charm, though! And...a Croagunk (however you spell it's name) screen cleaner.
Hmmm
Hmm what else should I mention
Hmmmm
The sales were very good! I earned a lot of money, guys, I'm so happy. I managed to cover my expenses AND get around $38 of profit. I'm very happy with this year's results, and it was so fun, too! I'll upload the drawings at dA tommorrow.
Now if you excuse me, I'll go fall dead on my bed right now.

| The US embassy here is so gigant and beautiful! I went there to renew my passport this morning, had to fill out a form, take some pictures, and then a mister interviewed me. It went something like this.
"So Marie, how old are you?" "seventeen" "oh wow you're old" "I still feel sixteen, though" "It'll pass, I wish I was seventeen" "I turned seventeen four days ago, so it'll take a while" "Oh really? Congratulations! Happy Birthday. Marie I need you to sign here" "oh, sure!"
I know I'm bad at explaining situations, but the mister was very fun to talk to ahah. So I'll get my new passport iiiin two weeks. After that I went with my mom to a french aliance(?) place they have here, so that I'll be able to finish learning french. On august 10, they'll test how good can I manage and place me on a course according to my level of french. And school will start on Monday August 3rd. Where did my vacations go aaahhh. The books are gigant, too...especially the Lit one. IT'S SO THICK why, british literature, why.
OH WELL I HOPE IT'S FUN. BRING IT ON!

| So today is my birthday, and I was pretty bored at my house, just sitting in the computer. I had lunch with my family, dad brought a cheesecake home and it was all calm. UNTIL MY CRAZY FRIENDS SUDDENLY DECIDED TO DROP OFF BY MY HOUSE. They had told me they were coming last night but after a while I just thought they were kidding, so didn't give it much importance, BUT THEY DID COME. Oh man, they were CRAZYYYY! A friend brought roses, my other friend gave me a really cute drawing+letter, and my other friend baked me a delicious loaf of bread! Cinnamon-taste bread, YUMMY. After that, we played some brawl and some twenty minutes later TWO MORE FRIENDS ARRIVED AND I WAS LIKE WOAH. And they bought me aaa SHARPIE!! My first Sharpie ever ;u; it's red, too! So we joked and played and they HARRASSED MY LITTLE MAYA (my kitten), and some hour later ANOTHER friend came. Oh my goodness we had so much fun, we played wii/PS2 and sang happy birthday (well they did) and ate some delicious cheesecake! Mkay so after a while my friends were nagging me telling me they were hungry LOL so we walked to McDonald's /o/
When we were at McDonald's, we went to the children section. The one were the park is? Yeah! The playplace! So we started laughing at just about anything and screamed to our friends who were outside the playplace, since the window was thick and..sort of sound proof. AND MANY PEOPLE WERE STARING AT US LIKE STRANGE THINGS it was so fun oh dear. ...Turns out our screams were audible, thought LOLL. A sailor student was staring at us and laughing with his friends. So after we laughed a ton and ate, we went to walk around my neighborhood, climbing the hill it has. We sat down, chatted, took photos, looked at the city from the top and the other houses. It was really, really, really great. Aaaahhh all my birthdays turn out to be amusing! This was a great surprise, it was AWESOME! Thank you guys, I love you all!
17 years old, time sure flieeeesss woah. And my last year at school, oh man. Time to get serious at studies!! - Tags:birthday surprise!

| Mkay so I had long hair. Had. And I liked it; In fact, I loved it. The tips of my hair were burnt though, so I decided to go cut it like I do every two months. I'm still at my grandma's, so I don't know any hair saloon here, so we went to a random one. It seems the lady didn't know how to cut hair and my mom used me as a gunea pig (she was going to cut hers after me). After seeing the horrible thing they had done with my hair, we left. We went to another saloon, my mom cut her hair, and she told the stylist if she could fix mine. My hair is okay now but it's short. Shoulder-lenght short. It used to reach my back.
I know I'm making a huge deal out of hair, but my hair takes ages to grow. Well, it seems like I got a new look.

| On Tuesday I went to hang out with my friends to the mall, and we decided to watch Transformers. Since it's a new movie, the room was crowdeeed. So we sit down, the movie start, and like typical teenagers we start making fun of the movie along the way. Suddenly, the guy in front of us turns around and told us "SHUT THE FUCK UP I WANT TO WATCH THE MOVIE!" to which my friend replied "NUH UH" and swung her finger at him. I couldn't hold back the laughter. SO later in the movie, I saw something moving, when I fix my gaze on it..the dude and his gf were making out. Ok cool nothing serious. Later on, his head...was....God I don't know in her chest or something. We couldn't hold back laughing and it was hard focusing on the movie with them almost creating babies in the theather. After the movie was over and they got up, we stayed there for a little more and I commented "I couldn't concentrate on the movie! They were about to have sex or somethingg. I felt like telling them 'Excuse me, could you stop having sex in the theater? I'm trying to watch the movie". GUESS WHAT. THEY WERE BEHIND ME EHEHEHEHEH. But it didn't matter and we kept on and the dude was staring at us oh goodness it was so much fun. On a much more recent note, yesterday I invited friends to my house. Only this guy...he was being more annoying than the usual to me. Care to guess who he is? It's easy guys c'mon. Anyway, he was acting all sarcastic and bitchy wannabe, and when my mom took us to rent a movie she mentioned everybody has a dark side, and he went "No, but for me it's very very difficult to get on my dark side, because I'm very passive" At the point I got tired of his bs and just told him "Shut up and stop faking innocent". My mom didn't say anything (usually she would go "don't tell that to your friends" or something). He was looking for it, I felt like kicking him. Very hard, by the way. Well we watched Napoleon Dynamite which...made no sense and all and was pretty stupid but that's what made it funny. It was still very retarded, though. We also watched Howl's moving castle, and I have to say I loved it. It was so so so cute and the drawings and scenery were wonderful. As expected from Ghilbi Productions. Aaaand now, I feel sort of neutral lately. No idea what's wrong with me whatsoever, but I've been like this for some weeks now. It's getting annoying. I need some time to reflect, perhaps the trip to grandma's will do the trick Here have a little prize for reading all my rant! WIP, using coloring pencils ahah. I like how it's coming out, even if it has some anatomy problems OTL | |

| An electronics shop over here had a patio sale in a big convention-holding place. Since my mom quited her job, she wanted to buy a laptop for her personal use, so we went to check the place out. Oh man, it was crazzzyyyyy! This ton of things for around half the price, games with 70% off their original price and all the electronics around. When we went to check out the laptops, some DSi boxes were piled up behind the clerk, so I thought "Weird...the DSi is really new, why is it here?" and I asked him to hand me one so I could see it. From $229 they were selling it to $199, and I was surprised they even had new merchandise on the patio sale. As my mom decided on the laptop, she told the clerk "Oh, and give me a DSi, too".
WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?! I was so surprised I mean COME ON WHAT! I'm just...really, really, really surprised right now. I have a DSi oh wow I never thought I'd have a DS again I mean....what? She says it's my bday present from them (my parents), even if I didn't even want anything. Oh boy oh boy oh boy---
I...don't know how to describe my feelings ;u;

| If there is one person or more on your friends list who makes your world a better place just because they exist, and who you would not have met (in real life or not) without the Internet, then post this same sentence in your journal.
I love you guys <3<3<3

| Just passing by to dump some little things! I don't really have much to say, I hope you're all doing well : ) shourii YOU GOT ME HYPED UP. But that's okay, it's very good, actually <3 I feel my style is changing? What do you guys think? Just some doodles, and 2 new keychains to add to the batch! Hmm I should finish the KH set, and maybe I'll do a Kaito to finish the Vocaloid set. I'm a little tempted. That was all folks! | |

| So after the storm, the rainbow comes out! It's a new day, let's leave the past in the past. I woke up early today, prepared breakfast for everyone in the house, and left with my mom to the bank. The credit card was canceled, the number changed, and thank goodness nobody had touched my savings account! I was so relieved. So we changed the account's number, canceled the other one, and if someone tries taking out money from the old one, they'll catch them and go to jail oh yeah. SO OK! Mom surprised me after we got home with a "We're going to grandma's today ok". So I packed up and got in the car. I was unusually sleepy, I slept more than half of the way, and I had this nightmare that seemed so real...I dreamt I could see my dog in the car's floor (we didn't take her) and I was trying to call out her name and couldn't. Then, I tried to move but couldn't, either. I thought "If I don't get up now, I'll never be able to" so I forced myself up, and actually woke up while I was sitting. It was very awkward... Ok anyway! We went to the mountains and valleys, we went to a province's town, Penonomé, and it was so uhmmmm colonial? It was pretty cool!!! The church is from the colonial times (when the spaniards used to live here/invaded the country) and it was simple yet had it's charm. I wish I had my camera, but hey, I used my cellphone instead so DON'T WORRY, bluepocket !!!!! Afterwards, we went to some mountain. The nature was just gorgeous, I couldn't help but stick my head out of the window like a dog and stare outside. We got to a lake which water is used to produce electricity. It was really beautiful, I took some photos! Then, when we managed to get out of the mountain, it was 7 pm already and it was too late to head to grandma's, since 3-4 hours of journey were missing for that. My mom was tired from driving and can't see well at night, and my dad was tired, so we got to a hotel. Ahaha the hotel is simple yet very nice (and most importantly, it has wireless internet oh yeah heehee). So my parents forgot their toothbrush so we went out to buy some. I'm wearing aaa... not so long but sort of like a trenchcoat dress (short sleeved), black tights, and black boots. I'd draw a picture for you guys but my tablet doesn't fits in this small table ): So people are not used to this type of clothing, so everybody was staring at me like a weird thing LOL. Oh man this is so fun, it's like a panamanian disneyland XD. Well...uh...I don't know how to export the photos from my cellphone, sob orz ( Have an art dump instead ) | |
